My Wonderful Trip to Battambong

I have a happy memory from my trip to Battambong Pronvince. I went there when I was in grade 9 in the occasion of National Mathematic Outstanding Student Competition. I stayed in a hotel there for two weeks to take the exam. I went with a group of students and teachers from Kandal Provinces. After many boring day of Mathematic examination, teachers arranged trips for us to visit some place in Battambong such as a place producing energy by plant, grape farm, orange farm, and Sompoev Mountain. We visited all of these places for a whole day. Starting from the early morning, we went to a place used plant to generate energy. I felt so surprise that Khmer people can do like this. They bought that kind of plant from the villagers who grew it. Next, I went to grape farm that was owned by a family there. They also produce grape wine to sell to tourists that cost around $8 to $15. Then I left there and continued to the orange farm. It was the time that orange had fruit, and it looks so beautiful. I can smell orange when I walked across the farm. After that, I went to Sompoev Mountain, which is one of Khmer natural resorts. I got there at lunch time. It took about 15 minutes to walk up to the top of mountain which made me absolutely exhausted, yet I felt so happy to see the view of countryside from the top of the mountain. There were many tourists and sellers there. Some of them were eating lunch and some relaxed under the big tree’s shadow.
After lunch, my friends and I went into some dark caves with other tourists and a torch in hand. It is my first experience to go into the cave. It is a bit cool and scary. Later, my group came back to the hotel in the late evening and had an enjoyable dinner together. In conclusion, Battambong is a happy memorable place for me that I will never forget. It made a lot of fun, and it gave me an experience of how to live in a team and far away from my family. To be able to live in a society and to control future life, a person should have some experiences in their life.
