Sinn Sisamouth was known as the king of golden voice in Cambodia. He was born in 1935 in Stung Treng Province. He lived in a medium status family. At the age of 16, Sinn Sisamout finished his elementary school and wanted to study medicine in Phnom Penh. He also worked to become a singer and writer. His voice was appriciated in his school and he was asked to sing in a school ceremony. Then he starts to sing in on a national radio. No longer, he became a famous singing star in Cambodia. In 1950, he was selected into the Vong Phleng Preah Reach Troap (Khmer Royal Music Band). Later, he started to record many songs that attracted many audience and still popular till nowadays such as, Thngai Na Mean Sangkheom, Or! Thamacheat Euy,Trorb Korb Chenda . He died in Pol Pot regime, but his death was unknown.
Actually his song still living until now, most of the old people in Cambodia like to listen his song. even some people live in other country that was born in Cambodia. His song almost are love song. It doesn't like modern song now a day, it come out with the new song every months, but all song are also easy to decrease the listener day by day. However, The modern song and Mr.Sinn Sisamouth song are different. Mr. Sinn Sisamouth song is more attractive and more meaning than modern song. That why old people like to listen his song.
ReplyDeleteSin sisamuth was a famous singer. And i really love his songs. Until nowadays, the songs are still very popular. It is true that Sinn sisamuth was known that King of golden voice. However, the modern songs are popular for adult. Moreover, we still support his songs and it's unforgettable. That why some people can pretend the King of golden voice song.
